Burano Village

The small municipality of Montemezzo, located above Gera Lario, has its heart in the fifteenth century village of Burano. This characteristic Rural village, after a phase of progressive decline and abandonment, is slowly trying to dust off the beauty that distinguishes it.

The ancient stone houses, expertly built, represent the soul of this village that today, thanks to its rural history, the characteristic microclimate and its amazing views of the Lake and the entrance of Valtellina and Valchiavenna, continues to make fall in love with to many visitors.

La Poulerie

The Poulerie is the result of the skilful restoration of an old small rural stable. The interventions were all carried out by artisans of the area, selected in order to make the restoration consistent with the surrounding context of the village of Burano and, at the same time, to support in our small local economy.

The realization of the project had a dutifully troubled life. The village of Burano, in which the structure is located, dates back to the 14th century and the renovations (in a conservative way) must respect, for this reason, a number of constraints.

Palazzo Gallio

At the entrance of Gravedona stands Palazzo Gallio, a mighty villa created in the place where the Gravedona Castle was previously located. The palace was originally intended to be the residence of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, but its construction ended in 1607, the year of the death of its patron.

A long time the villa was ducal residence but also hospital during the period of occupation French and Spanish.

Santa Maria del Tiglio

The beautiful church of Santa Maria del Tiglio is located in Gravedona, in an area dedicated to worship since time immemorial. This is demonstrated by the founding of ruins dating back to the Celts on which the church, along with the adjacent baptistery, stands.

Villa Carlotta

A visit to Lake Como includes some stops that we believe are mandatory. Among them can not miss Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo. Overlooking the lake in the front of Bellagio on the side of Como, the Villa has a timeless beauty: elegant, classic and sumptuous in its simplicity.

The look of tourists is captured at every step immediately after crossing the front gate of the entrance staircase. Fountains embellished with water lilies and water games welcome the visitor on a tour full of wonders.
